I love to rock hunt & took a chance with this place. Alwayssssss check the weather before you drive out there, I made the mistake of trusting my cabin weather to be the same as further up north and I was very wrong lol. I made the best of it for sure but I wish we saved the trip for a more perfect day. It wasn’t crowded at all, and the only guests getting close to us were the animals & their babies which was adorable! I found plenty of rocks to bring home, I wished for more agates however we will return and score big I know it! Gotta be able to get our feet in the water at least 😂 we had a great adventure and hope if you check it out, you do too! Also please bring a bag for trash- that made me sad how the animals were digging through bags of chips and garbage right on the shoreline. We picked up what we could but I have a feeling it can get bad with the amount of...

Great place to get closer to the waves. Though it's a lake, but you actually get a feeling of being by a coast due to the mighty size of the lake. Doesn't feel like a natural beach though if that's the experience you're hoping to get without travelling out of MN. Stay careful while walking on the deck if you are accompanied with pets or kids as there's no protective railing. Wish thats something that they could improve upon as its pretty scary to walk there when its windy and the...

This area has a number of things to explore, including a pier, pilot house, two lighthouses and a museum. There are still train tracks from when there was a Norwegian fishing village, of which I took a pic. Across the way are the docks, which are impressive as they are used for unloading barges. The only issue is you have to drive by the water treatment facility to get there. But...

Love visiting the Agate Beach Bay on the shores of Two Harbors. A rocky lakeside beach, boat ramp and long lighthouse pier with scenic views of the ore docks and bay make it extra special. The Paul Van Hoven Park, Museum Tug 'Edna G,' and Lighthouse Museum are all within walking distance. A visit during the Festival of Sail makes it even more special. Check it out!
