Fair admission prices and… ANIMALS!!!! Who doesn’t love seeing animals? Ok, so sometimes I have a hard time seeing some animals in captivity and not in “the wild”.. I do know that some places use the opportunity to help certain species/animals (ie: research, injuries, to avoid extinction, etc.), but whether or not this place does that, I do not know for sure (do your research if this is a concern for you.) I do know that there were signs up for certain animals, from their doctors, explaining their ailments/conditions, if any. I’ll be honest, I did not look into it further as we were passing through and I’m a sucker for any animal; I just wanted to squish them all and take them home. Apparently, that’s not allowed though. The staff was knowledgeable. One lady stopped while we were admiring a.. ok, so I don’t remember the proper name for it.. it was a cross between a zebra and a horse but comes from the giraffe family.. that one (see pic). She told us where they come from and about their ability to suck their eyes into their head to avoid getting branches etc. in their eyes. This is something I wanted to see in person. That it didn’t happen. But what a weird piece of information I will carry with me forever, about an animal that I call Zeraffe, but only because the correct name still escapes me. Penguins: adorable. Birds: beautiful. Monkeys: weird af but amazing. Giraffes: so cute I now want one of my own. Highly recommend.. apparently there’s a water park and a kids section; we did not see those as we were 4 adults who would have stuck out like a sore thumb in those sections. Also, they have a sloth. A SLOTH! Apparently, holding him is not allowed either. Yes, I did ask....

A diamond in the Magic City! One of my favorite places in town. The Minot Zoo is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon! There are multiple new animal enclosures and they are continuing to add more each year. The staff is always friendly and the grounds are well maintained and facilities are clean. There are so many different animal exhibits showcasing a wide variety of creatures. There is plenty of space so it never feels too crowded, and there are plenty of activities for youngsters to participate in as they wander from area to area. The snack shack offers great treats to enjoy as you wander the area. The variety and size of the Minot zoo is outstanding and just keeps getting better each year! When anyone asks about the best things to do when visiting Minot, the Zoo is always at the...

I once fed a cooked steak without sides to a lion. Tried giving a lioness a funny tshirt of an alien flipping us off but got caught. Also ate one similar just outside the prides cage with just my hands. Aren’t we all beasts of sorts? Who on earth owns the cages, land and big kitty cats? Governments? This is Gods dirt and air. just has others made in his image to help farm and ranch it. Son of God returned and the proof is out there. He lives within all through the great i am. Which one is the real zoo? Humanity or life? Last time humans and our governments crucified Christ all because he said who he said he was which is a king above many and worship him still being we did what we did. What will we do this...

I lived in Minot during Jojo’s first 3 years of life. Minot was special to me, & one of my favorite places to spend time with my son was at the local zoo. Felt good to be back & not having to push around a stroller 🤣
