We just spent 3 days there for the Montana State HS Soccer Tournament. Located on the west side of Missoula, Montana this is a great soccer park. Maybe the best in the state. There is lots of free parking and a center pavilion area with a nice clean indoor bathroom facility, including family bathrooms. The pavilion has lots of covered picnic tables for family picnics or getting out of the notoriously fickle Montana weather.
The crown jewel of the soccer facility is the artificial turf full sized, lighted soccer pitch, located adjacent to the pavilion area. With bleachers and a lighted scoreboard it is also utilized for training and practice. The natural turf fields are well maintained and house leagues for players of all ages and skill levels. From the mighty mites to coed adult recreation leagues there is something here for any age soccer player. One of the top notch features of the Fort Missoula Regional Park is the playground area for kids that aren't playing in the tournament. Well maintained and clean, when my kids were younger they could have spent all day at the playground. The Fort Missoula Museum is on the grounds and is another fun, family...
Read moreI love Missoula and have lived here my entire life and was so excited to watch my husband play ball on the new fields. Our family including my 2 year old son got our usual picnic lunch together and headed to the park. When I approached the park I was worried at first due to the two police officers at the entrance. I then asked if that was a gun on his hip. He replied "yes". I said " Wow, your really serious about those rules." This is unacceptable. I felt that it was ridiculous and a waste of money to have two armed guards to make sure we dont bring in our own food and drink. What kind of public park doesn't allow you to eat or drink unless it's ...
Read moreIt's a huge ass soccer field(s), a cool little play ground, a green belt, another huge ass baseball complex. If you want a cool place to chill, exercise, smoke your weed, take your kid to the park, walk your dog, ride a bike. Go here. It can get a lil' crazy when they have events there, but it's a legit park.
Me personally, I use the public toilets which are nice, they have changing tables in the main building, I fill up water bottles at their fountain (which has one specifically for such purposes), I take my daughter to the park there, and when I'm by myself I'll fire up a bowl amd enjoy the scenery.
It can be infested with mosquitos, but the actual Fort Missoula is a cool place to walk around and peek the scenery, they even have an iris garden with all...
