The National Museum of Forest Service History in Missoula offers an educational trail that provides a deep dive into the history and importance of forest service. The staff is friendly and helpful, making the visit enjoyable and informative. As a fun bonus, we got to watch a demonstration of personnel repelling out of a helicopter nearby, adding an exciting touch to our visit. Highly recommended for anyone interested in forestry and history!

This will be a world class National Conservation Legacy and Education Center once it is completed. We had nice tour of the old Rangers home/gift shop, interpretive trail and amphitheatre. It is a work in progress! There a number of event throughout the year and a dedicated staff!

I loved the outdoor nature of most of the exhibits, though the visitor center offered a nice indoor space. The staff was very friendly and kind. I walked down from the truck stop and was very glad I did. I learned a lot and enjoyed chatting with the staff.

Great place to learn about the firefighting efforts of the US Forest Service, explore the inside of a Fire Lookout Tower and walk through a real Smokejumper base. If you're into firefighting or planes, this is a place to visit. Bring the kids....might just help them start their dream of becoming a Wildland...
