Update: The whole beach was free and we literally got surrounded and over crowded by a large group who could have used the beach but tried to push us out of the shade by the tree.
The brought a huge bbq. A hige speaker. A huge tent and lots of coolers. They didnt talk to us. They just butted behind us and in fromt of us. Like they were intentionally trying to ruin our time and push us out. No etiquette and no respect for our space or us being here 1st. The rudest and worse experience here to date. Very sad.
Usually we enjpy coming here w the baby and our adult kids. It's safe and nor.ally clean. However today when we got here it was dirty. The trash can was moved closer to the Beach, trash was all around it. Broken glass in the sand. The life jackets for free use were left on the beach. Really disappointed in the lack of care for the beach by the users. We are in the shade by the tree along the edge and theirs garbage all over along it.
Also watch for ticks. One was in the sand crawling to us.
Will will still be back because we love this place. Just sad w the condition...

Gets pretty busy around 11:00am The beach is nice and clean with lots of sand extending out the swim zone And it comes with a bath house / showers. That's nice! There's a little grassy tree space behind the bath house and there is a toadstool shade rain shower for rinsing off / letting the toddlers play in on the opposite end...
Read moreBeen coming here my whole life, it's always a good place to swim, picnic and chill. I do remember it being a lot cleaner in years past. There were regular rounds done by park officials to ensure people were not bring glass, alcohol, or smoking in the public Beach area. All of these prohibited actions and things were in abundance this day. I'm all about having a good time, the only if it doesn't take away from others...
