(Posting my review of the other location on this one too because the director runs both)
wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. First off it’s way overpriced, secondly the director of operations Laura has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever and third, the drive through is a scam. I went on Groupon and decided to buy two tickets for the promised land zoo. Upon arriving I found out that I bought tickets for the wrong location and they wouldn’t accept it here even though they are owned by the same people. But I said OK and paid the full price of $50 for two people because I wanted the experience of the animals around your car. As we started driving through we found out that was not in fact right and we had to watch the animals from 20 feet away in the car and couldn’t get out. We drove through the whole zoo and didn’t see half of the animals from them either being too far away or just not in sight at all. So I reached out to the director of operations and explained my issues and she basically told me that there was nothing she was going to do about it because it says it “in the map” that apparently your not going to see all the animals. I was misinformed or actually just not informed at all and I feel robbed. I will never go back to this park and I would advise others not too as well unless you like be lied to and want to...
Read moreThe drive through part is decent. I’m upset about the guinea pigs and prairie dogs, though. Please consider my actionable feedback.
The guinea pig males and females are all together, in far too close quarters. Males and females should not be together, period, or they breed (which is happening). They barely had room to move. I would highly recommend utilizing the empty rooms or exhibits and separating the males and females. You can then use the metal enclosure for moms and babies. Each guinea pig needs at least 7 sqft. You definitely have the floor space to at least expand the cage. Please also consider more hiding places.
There was no hay in sight- which is a main part of their diet! It would be easy to take handfuls of hay from the bales used to feed the larger animals. Salt licks also aren’t necessary- they should get enough vitamin c from high quality pellets with no seeds or fillers and unlimited hay.
The prairie dogs were another situation… the poor female kept being attacked by the male. They were both stressed and looked SO sad :( They would be much happier in one of the bigger enclosures, not a tank. With hides and more paper bedding.
The outside animals look well cared for. Please extend that care to the inside and petting zoo animals. I won’t come back until...
Read moreI remember going here as a kid. I have tons of awesome memories from that time. I decided to take my wife to create more life lasting memories. We had a amazing time. Though I might have had a little more fun than she did. The window lock button was my go to on the drive around the park. Well on her side anyway. FYI the emu's and Llama's are the best to use the window lock on. We are still laughing about our time and experience the next day. We went early to beat the heat. The animals were all out and about waiting for us to feed them and sneak in a rub on the head. I consider this place a must do for any animal lover. The park and animals are well cared for and maintained. You can see the staffs love and care for the animals everywhere as you drive throughout the park. The park explains with signs about the drive as to why they care so much about the animals. There is no doubt in my mind that they have devoted their lives to providing the best life for each and every animal. We will be definitely be visiting again to take our kids. If you are able to go don't miss out on this awesome experience to create lasting memories with the ones that you...
