Museo del Mundillo is a must stop for all crafting people loving needle arts. The Mundillo is a very traditional Puerto Rican technique typical from Moca city. This embroidery-like technique was adapted from Spain by Puerto Ricans and the oldest donated artwork is from 1896! The museum is located at the downtown. You can park around the plaza and walk to the site. I was amazed by all the donated beautiful crafted pieces. The best part is that the entrance is free! We also took a short intro class at the site of how to do the "Moca Mundillo pattern". I love it! You can also buy the basic materials to them to start your own Mundillo pieces. What a great experience!

Pay what you can add a donation as they are a non profit organization that the government does not support. Beautiful lace pieces and dresses, not just Puerto Rican but from other places around the world too. Some parking in the back. Outside of holiday season, there are classes in how to make lace. Take around 30 minutes to see.

¡Altamente recomendado!

This was an amazing experience. Seeing the dress designed by Jaer Caban the same designer that made the dress for Ms Universe Pageant representing Puerto Rico was amazing. So Proud of the town where my family lives, and of the beauty hidden within the creative arts of the Artisian's behind the world of Mundillo. The inspiration is breathtaking. The baby clothes and doll dresses are phenominal. The men's Traditional Guallabera's was exquisite. Definitely a site to visit. We had the please of chatting with the Founder El Senor Mocai, who told us about his experience when Justice Sotomayor Visited the Museum. Puerto Rico and our culture is amazing. Take the time to learn about what makes every town and it's people so special and what special feature puts...

Wonderful journey through memory lane!

My grandmother and my mother both did mundillo for many, many years. In fact, this was a major contributor in financing my mother and her sister's education and thus heavily impacted our family's future.

There are beautiful pieces showcased on this small treasure of a museum. With pieces ranging from the 1800's to today.

I was glad to see so much interest in mundillo still alive today not only in Moca but around our...
