The Theater at Monmouth is a jewel. Cumston Hall is an amazing venue, with beautiful decoration and wonderful acoustics. The summer repertory company includes some strong Equity performers, several with long histories at Monmouth. The non-equity performers are also strong and provide energy and light to the performances. This summer's season (almost over) has been uniformly strong, with two Shakespeare plays, a Noel Coward, Tom Stoppard, and a Henry James adaptation, along with a Yellow Fairy Book tale adapted by the Dawn McAndrews, the Producing Artistic Director. Bathrooms in first floor only, there is an elevator. The seats were purchased were not the seats we sat in... Our balcony seats had absolutely no full view of the stage... And if it weren't for the fact that there were other seats that weren't being sat in, which we moved to, we would have missed half the play as we could only see half the stage. Glad we moved... We figured it was ether going to be amazing or let down. The play started off decent.
