We booked this venue early on—before renovations were completed—because we believed in the vision and were excited to support the new ownership. While the property turned out to be visually stunning (our guests had nothing but compliments on the space itself), our overall experience fell short in several key ways. Throughout planning, communication with the onsite coordinator was inconsistent and often left us feeling like an inconvenience rather than valued clients. As a pregnant bride trying to plan ahead, I scheduled a few short visits and confirmed key details—like storing a playpen overnight, setting out light refreshments at our rehearsal, and using the venue’s included flameless candles for ease. Each of these items was discussed in advance, yet became points of friction or confusion once we arrived on-site. At our rehearsal, the coordinator contradicted prior conversations and told us food wasn’t allowed—despite having previously approved it. She also emphasized our time limit just 30 minutes in, dampening what should have been a calm and joyful evening. Her tone throughout the weekend felt cold and transactional, and multiple guests and family members noticed the tension. The biggest disappointment came after the wedding: we were charged $100 for wax left in candle holders. Originally, we planned to use the flameless candles included with the venue, but the coordinator advised against them just days before, saying they “didn’t look nice.” We scrambled to buy real candles instead, which is what ultimately led to the wax issue. We explained this context and respectfully asked for the fee to be reconsidered, but the venue declined. While we’re incredibly grateful for the memories we made and how beautiful the day looked, I can’t recommend this venue without a strong caution: get everything in writing, triple-confirm even the smallest details, and be prepared to advocate for yourself throughout the process. There’s so much potential here, but the service and communication didn’t reflect the warmth or professionalism we had hoped for.

I got married here on August 20, 2022. It is a beautiful venue. The ceremony space is outdoors and the reception area is a covered open area with cement flooring. If the weather is poor they do offer to have the ceremony under the covered area. There are lots of garden areas for guests to walk around in, a fire pit with a smores bar (for an extra fee), and lots of space to set up a photo booth, yard games, etc. The venue offers a lot of extra add-ons which we utilized. Because we booked within a couple of days of viewing the venue, we were given full use of all of the venues decor for no extra charge. They have a lot of cute signs, beautiful faux flowers, serving trays, vases, etc. The venue also offers bartending services, linens, set up and tear down services, wedding coordination, smores bar, candles, and flowers. We added the bartending, set up and take down, and the smores and they were well worth it! Lisa the venue coordinator was very easy to work with. She allowed me to come and visit the venue multiple times to go over how I wanted the decorations to look and everything set up. On the day of the wedding her and some employees did a great job of setting up all the decorations which helped relieve a lot of my stress. I am so thankful for all of their hard work they put in to make my day so special and beautiful! (photos by RebeccaAnnPhotography )

Terra Valley Farms is an incredible venue! We knew from the first time we walked the grounds that this was a special location, and every one of our guests confirmed this by stopping to tell us how beautiful and perfect the whole place was. Whether it was their fields of berries and dahlias, winding garden paths, or open areas for lawn games, the natural beauty meant that we really didn’t need to do much for extra decor, and this in turn helped us save money to use elsewhere in our budget. The fact that they also offer wedding coordination and bartending services means there is a lot of value here and adding these services made our lives so much easier. We got to work with Tessa as our wedding coordinator, and she was the absolute best! Because she knows Terra Valley so well, she knew just how to make things run as smoothly as possible. Throughout the entire planning process and on the actual day, she and her team made us feel so at ease and well taken care of. Thank you, Tessa, for being our steady guide throughout this year of planning a wedding and thank you Chelsea for all the work you and your team do to make this such a special place!
