First cracked my windshield. Second exploded my windshield with glass all over my dashboard and front seat. When I contacted the company, they directed me only to deal with the insurance company. Their insurance company actually told me that I should have slammed on the brakes at 55mph, made an illegal u-turn on a high speed two lane road, and raced down to track down the truck, and flagged them to the side of the road to get their insurance information. Cadman does not follow safety precautions expected by decent citizens living near their pit, and has chosen an insurance company that basically tells claimants to go screw themselves when they or their property are harmed by Cadmans negligence. Heidelberg Materials needs to seriously invest in trailer covers when hauling truck loads of rock/gravel, filled to the brim. I was traveling on my way to work when one of Heidelberg’s semis pulled out in front of me from their location on SR-203. After their truck pulled out in front of me, rocks came flying from their truck, hitting and cracking my windshield. Filing a claim through their insurance was a hassle, not hearing back till a month later. They denied my claim and I am now left with a $500 repair bill for their negligence.
