Steenykill Boat Launch - High Point State Park — Attraction in Montague Township

I didn't use the boat launch because I was there to hike, so I can't speak to that. We used the lake as a starting point for an uphill hike to Lake Marcia and the High Point State monument, but the lake itself is worth a visit. There's no trail around the lake, but it's a lovely spot for a picnic. We also saw a few people fishing from the shore.

If you use Steelykill Lake as a starting point for either Lake Marcia or the High Point monument, be prepared for an uphill climb. It took us 30 minutes to reach Lake Marcia and another ten to reach the monument. In my opinion, it's well worth the climb because there are beautiful...

Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! Google will take you directly to boat launch. Smooth launch where you can take the car near to the lake. Parking can be an issue but we went on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 5 boats. A bit shallow near to the bank on certain edges. Please keep an eye and maneuver with paddle to save your boat...
