So let’s begin with it was Christmas Eve on what we have been told is the coldest Christmas is years all while in the middle of a move from Texas to Tennessee. We booked one of the cabins and wouldn’t you know it the pipes are frozen solid and we are unable to stay in that cabin with our water. Janet and her team were able to place us in another cabin that was emptying that day (lucky for us). Janet placed us in that cabin almost immediately and made sure we had enough heaters to get us through what felt to be inside the arctic circle. Janet and her team were in constant communication with us checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed! Thanks to Janet my family and I were able to have a beautiful Christmas in a beautiful cabin. My husband and I stayed in the Escape to Nature cabin at Trailhead Cabins last week. It was very nice with a master bed downstairs and a loft with two twin beds. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and the bathrooms had nice towels (not scratchy like the kind you get at a hotel). There is a bike path right behind the cabin that is paved, so we rented bikes from Woody’s Bicycles nearby. Woody delivered them to our cabin and picked them up! This was great since our car was too small to carry two bikes. We loved the bike trail! It was so convenient and the trees were beautiful this fall. We stopped at a bakery and Monteagle Goat Market for lunch on our bikes. We also went hiking one day down one of the many trails and saw a waterfall. My friend booked the Stay Awhile cabin for a girls weekend. The cabin was awesome - worked out quite well for the 2 of us. It was quiet, peaceful and serene. We loved sitting on the front porch every evening talking and laughing. So why have I rated it 3 stars instead of 5? We got a message during our last evening with a list of chores that we were expected to do including washing all dirty dishes, taking out the trash and stripping the beds. However we were charged a $75 cleaning fee. I don’t understand why we had to pay a cleaning fee when we ended up doing a good part of the cleaning. $75 is a very high cleaning fee especially since we had our list of chores that we had to do...
