On 9-9-17 I played a round of night golf, around 8:45 at night. I was the last one they lest on the course.
As I was finishing the first hole a couple of guys jumps back on the course from the 8th hole and went to the 7th, which i know happens a bit. The problem was they were each playing 3 balls.
I ended up waiting forever for them to finish each hole.
The Marshal came by and I talked to him. He said he knew the guys, and knew they jumped back. He then drove over to the guys as they were about to tee off at the 6th green. I thought, here we go he is going to let them have it.
Nope.
He jumped off his cart, grabbed his clubs, and joined them to tee off. So I had to wait for all of them to finish multiple balls, which took forever. I ended up standing on the fairway of the 9th hole waiting 15 minutes for them to stop goofing around.
After I was finally able to finish the 9th hole and walked back up, the marshal and the two guys were putting on the putting green. It wouldn't be such a huge deal, except that the putting green was closed so all of us who wanted to use it couldn't and had to watch these rude and unprofessional people play on it.
My wife and I were very disappointed in this experience. I really hope management wises up and replaces this marshal before they end up going out...
Read moreDriving through the 10 and 710 freeway, you will notice buildings alongside the hills. California State University of Los Angeles, a restaurant, and a golf course.
Drive up a hill, and past the restaurant to arrive at the golf course. The exterior is wonderful, having recently been renovated, it definitely showed! The driving ranges were still green, and the buildings all looked beautiful. The shop had everything you needed to get yourself situated, from clothes to clubs!
They have push carts available but there are no golf carts at this course, and I find out why as I played. The terrain is as wacky as a scene from Dr. Seuss. You constantly find yourself being challenged by uneven playing fields, slopes, and bunkers. I felt so confused as I had to adjust my stance to accommodate the uneven terrain! Some of the holes look so ridiculous, a golf cart wouldn't be able to handle such steep inclines! You'd need an ATV to ride around this golf course safely.
I fell while pushing the cart down the hill, and I'm glad they had water stations around. It was hot! I have to give them props for creating this course on top of a slope, they did well with what they had to work with!
Very challenging course, great place to practice...
Read moreFirst of all, I would like to say, the driving range here is spectacular. Fully automated system with double-decker floor space for hitting almost guarantees that there will be room for anyone, and plenty of space to test yourself (and at very reasonable pricing I might add). As for the course itself... It was decent. Very well manicured, with almost the perfect speed on the greens; though If you're expecting a challenging round, however, this isn't the place. The maximum distance was around 250 yards, with the average being around 130-150 in length, and, though the terrain is fairly hilly, there aren't many obstacles (which, if you're as bad at golf as I am, isn't necessarily a bad thing, but isn't so great if you're looking for a challenge). All in all, this is mostly a leisurely 9 holes for very reasonable pricing ($13 for a round of 9, and $9 for every round thereafter) and to have a simple, low-key environment after you've had a round of brews at the clubhouse, or if you want a quick round after or during work. Or, if you're looking to do some night golfing, as they stay...
