Carmel Meadows trail — Attraction in Monterey

This is a favorite place of mine. Exquisite aquamarine water and unpopulated sand. Last year I was on the path looking out and saw the fins of about 30 creatures that I didn't recognize at first. Then to my utter joy 5 or 6 of them started leaping up out of the water and there the beautiful white and black of their magnificent bodies was revealed. A perfect “light” trail for a beautiful stroll along the amazing Carmel scenery. The trail has a couple of levels to walk on above and below that make a loop near the ocean. We took our dogs on a morning walk and had a great time. There are garbage cans at both trail heads to drop your waist as well. The beach is gorgeous and easily explored.
