Like others Carmelite shrines and Discalced Carmelite sisters, I loved every moment of each. Away from all the busy, noisy, greed, and pride of the world surrounding us. May my Mother Mystery from the Glorious Hope be with you all. Thank you.

From the Father’s Grace with Jesus Bless Radiant Mother for I have not known The Truth Love from you, Mother Mary For I have seen in darkness hours But how can I worthy to tell For the darkness within I committed The True Love of my Mother, Mary And the world is not truly known In the Name of One True God You come into our world by Father To guide us to your Beloved Jesus The Truth blood which He sheds down The pains shredded deep in your heart To witness the tortures, Your beloved Son I see Mother cried out for Him At below the Cross until the end You pray for Him than ever were To complete and fulfill the Father’s Will You gripped beloved Son’s shredded body again The blood of tears that pour out It was Mother’s love one cannot describe Again, you rescued me from the devil The evil which has embedded deep within Your sweet, gentle smile with much compassion In blue robe with wonder radiant surrounds Your twist twinkle’s long hair of blossom Above, a crown of thirteen stars luminously The Star thirteen is brightest of all Your hands hold a book and rosary Mother, you are the Truth Love within For I once was lost, now find I know I had not prayed must To the TRUTH Father, You guided to This is was I ever dream of PRAY to Father with You and Son May the world see the Living HOPE The magnificent bonded of FAITH with LOVE So they may come back to the Father Amen to Father's Glorious...

Small cloistered community of deeply spiritual and prayerful Carmelite Nuns; unceasingly praying for the needs of the Church, the World and each of us. Thank you for your prayers. - Discalced (barefooted or sandaled) Carmelite Nuns, daughters of St. Teresa of Avila. They are consecrated to Jesus Christ by a life of unceasing prayer lived in a cloistered community of women. His love has called them to live together as sisters in a small family in order to help one another and to pray for the needs of the Church and the world. There life with God draws them to solidarity with the sorrow, the joys and the hopes so confidently entrusted in their prayers each day. They lift these concerns daily to the heart of God, Who is Love and Who understands...

It was closed when we came to visit, but we stayed for awhile because the grounds are so lovely and you can enjoy the ocean while sitting on tree shrouded benches among plants, flowers, and garden statuaries. A sign informs visitors that the nuns are cloistered here. Beautiful scenery and gardens. I wish we could have seen inside the the cathedral, but will return another time in the future. It's located off Hwy. 1 on the...

I dropped by the monastery while on a bike ride. I didn't go inside. Monastery and views of Monterey Bay from Monastery are gorgeous. Grounds are simple and quiet. Monastery is right off the highway so if you're in the area it's worth checking out.

I grew up in the Carmelite order in Northern Brazil, and felt emotional visiting Carmel-by-the-Sea and the carmelite monastery in CA. Such a wonderful place. Thank you sister Marie for your prayer and wonderful wishes 🙏 ❤️ I love you guys

A true gem, which is not crowded, off of Highway 1, south of Carmel by the Sea. Very peaceful and ideal location. If you wish to pray, the Church is truly a calming experience.
