Shepherd's Knoll — Attraction in Monterey

As a Scenic Point, this area leaves a lot to be desired. Unless you like sitting on a little bench watching people down the valley mow their lawn. It's pretty for those who don't go down to view nature, but not for those who want to get out and enjoy nature. You have a slightly better View before the parking lot where you can see through the trees. Great place to stop if you want you to empty the trash...

Was advertised as a view on the bay area in the brochure... but there was nothing to see here (or we and everyone else was looking in the wrong direction :D). This...

The bay is no longer that visible because of the tall trees. Nevertheless, it is a good introduction for the beautiful vistas further...
