Lake Montowac — Attraction in Montville Township

Nice but small area. A couple of benches and a trail that only goes partially around the north end of the park. The lake itself is beautiful and there was a resident heron sun bathing on the far south side. If you have a good lens I am sure you could get great photos. I was surprised how busy the local road is... constant traffic (on a Saturday afternoon) and also a good amount of air traffic can ruin the mood a bit. Great lake, ok park (very clean, I picked up a couple of minor pieces of litter). Fishing is allowed (catch and release only - which is great by me). If you happen to be in the area and want a nice space to chill or have your lunch? This hits the mark. You have to drive past it (or just before it) to park on the dead end street...
