Our wedding at Rancho de las Palmas was an absolute dream come true. This hidden gem of a venue nestled in Moorpark, CA, truly exceeded our expectations in every way.
From the moment we set foot on the property, we knew we had found something special. The tropical resort-style atmosphere, set amidst serene horse stables, gave our wedding a unique and enchanting touch that we fell in love with.
One of the standout aspects of this venue was its extremely reasonable pricing and minimum headcount requirements. It was a breath of fresh air to find a place that not only fit our budget but also provided flexibility to accommodate our guest list.
Walking into Rancho de las Palmas, we immediately felt at home. The communication with the venue director was a breeze, making the planning process stress-free. They were always ready to answer our questions and cater to our needs.
The venue's lake and water features were nothing short of magical, especially when illuminated at night. It created a romantic and picturesque backdrop for our special day.
One thing we truly appreciated about Rancho de las Palmas was its spacious layout. With multiple areas to spread out, we never felt crowded, and our guests had plenty of room to enjoy the festivities.
The bridal suite was not only charming but also well-equipped, with a mirror, comfortable seating, air conditioning, and even a refrigerator. It was the perfect space for us to prepare and relax before the ceremony. While there isn't a dedicated space for the men to get ready, "groom island" provided them with a fun and comfortable hangout spot.
Another major advantage was the free parking lot, ensuring that our guests had a hassle-free experience attending our wedding.
The feedback we received from our guests after the wedding was overwhelmingly positive. They loved Rancho de las Palmas as much as we did and thought it was an incredible choice for our special day.
Choosing Rancho de las Palmas as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made. It's a magical place that made our wedding day truly unforgettable. We can't thank them enough for making our...
Read moreHorrible! I checked into the hotel after a 3 hour drive. 8pm arrival. We were directed to building 12 and given key 2310. Myself and my children set out to find our room. One of whom has autism...anybody gets this...
Turns out there is no such thing. In the dark I'm trying to open room 2310 while somebody is on the other side putting the dead bolt. My kids start to cry...I have to drive back to the lobby.
Once inside I explain there is no such thing as room 2310 in building 12. As I am handing her the keys and map that was given to me she says she needs to see my ID. The attendant next to her was there the whole time I checked in. I then go get my ID and was approached by a tall intoxicated man asking for a lighter. I told him I don't have a lighter and if he can please get away from my car because now my kids are really scared. He proceeds to start yelling horrible things to me in front of my kids. I now have to bring my ID back to the front desk. He followed me in and continued to yell at me. Feeling very comfortable. I was told by the attendant behind the desk that she will cancel my reservation. What?
I hand her my ID. She sees the mistake that was made. She never apologized. Like I inconvenienced her trying to find my room.
We had 45 minutes at the pool because our time was spent finding a room that didnt exist. The pool had trash all around it. The bottom of the pool will cut your feet. I got back to the room feeling disgusted by my experience here. We left by 10pm.
How was I so excited for my visit to feel like completely unwelcomed and scared?
There is a review for Rancho Las Palmas that says... "Save your dignity and don't come here." I wish I would have listened to that. I would have saved myself alot of time and money.
It looks nice from the exterior, but there is an incompetent undertone that lacks what it takes to run a resort properly. DONT...
Read moreRancho de las palmas is what dreams are made of! I loved the fact that only one event happens at a time so we didn’t have to share the space with anyone else. From the beautiful bridal suite to the option for a tree house-like play area for the kids with the option to hire babysitters, the venue offers it all. As a bonus they even offer an option for a pay-it-forward room that offers an incredible amount of decor items to choose from and all the little details that can be stressful to put together or sometimes can be forgotten about like card holders or signage options. Getting married in southern california can be expensive but I found that their prices were incredibly reasonable in comparison to other places. What I was most impressed with were the professionalism and attentiveness of the coordinators Laura and Jenn. Laura was always there to answer questions and was right there from beginning to end to make sure that our day was perfect. When we had an issue with our cake delivery on the day of, they went above and beyond to take care of the problem while making sure everything ran smoothly and stress-free. Words cannot truly describe what an amazing experience our wedding was and Laura and Jenn were the ones that made it all possible. Thank you both! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to...
