Extremely disappointing and discriminatory experience.
I visited Underwood Family Farms today with my family and our fully trained service dog. From the moment we arrived, the staff made it very difficult for us. We were forced to wait nearly an hour under the 93-degree sun just to speak to a manager. Eventually, we were asked to sign a waiver before being allowed in — which already felt like a red flag for how they treat guests with disabilities.
Our service dog is calm, slow-walking, and extremely well-behaved. While we were walking through the farm, a baby accidentally fell to the ground nearby. My dog gently nudged me to go help — not barking, not running, just alerting me as she is trained to do in these situations.
Instead of acknowledging the situation or asking what happened, a staff member called the register and demanded we leave the property immediately. No explanation. No compassion. No apology. We had only been inside for about 30 minutes before we were kicked out. We paid full admission, waited nearly an hour in the heat, and were removed for something the staff didn’t even witness properly or ask about.
What’s worse: their policies make it clear that people with service dogs, wheelchairs, or any disability-related needs are NOT truly welcome. They don’t allow service animals down the aisles, which defeats the whole point of visiting a pick-your-own farm. If you can’t enter the rows or interact fully because of a disability, you’re essentially paying to walk on dirt paths and be treated like an inconvenience.
This was not only poor customer service — it felt discriminatory.
If you have a disability or rely on a service animal: stay far away from this place. I will never return, and I hope Underwood Family Farms seriously reconsiders how they treat guests with...
Read moreNot a farm ! But instead, a professional money milking machine !!!
We are family of 5 and were looking for a day out in nature. We went there Saturday December 16th and deeply regret it.
The greedy owners I understand, they want to make as much money they can, but who are all the suckers that throw away their money for below average experience at such a high price and then rank it 4 stars up ????
Now. I m not shy of spending. We traveled many countries and pay for good quality enriching experiences. It's been a while since I saw something that ridiculous !
We paid 70 usd to enter and all that kids got to do for free is to climb the few wooden playground installations and ride a slow tractor around a barren field (between seasons, that I understand) everything else cost money and a lot !
Petting rabbits ? Cost money. Feeding goats ? Cost money?
You go to a farm and you can't do anything which is farm like without top it up over and over and over !
so tickets for 3 kids to pet rabbits for example would be extra 15 dollars and you can understand everything else is the same ...
Food wasn't fresh either. You'd expect healthy and fresh options when you go to a farm, instead you get pre-made sandwiches and sugary drinks at a high price. Not even a single fresh fruit juice or something of that sort.
No doubt, the cherry on top was the animal show by 2 workers lacking any spark of life in them, animals that just run around the stage and animal facts that contribute to nothing.
Expect to leave there around 200 dollars per family for poor experience and beat yourself later on for all the pleasant things you could do with the money... or ! simply avoid and do good, like go out to a leafy park or simply go to...
Read moreGreat place to go with family or your kids! There is a fee of $30 per person but no parking fees. You need to purchase your tickets online IN ADVANCE or else they will make you wait on the side while you do that and let others who have their tickets in. Almost everything inside also requires you to pay so be ready to spend some money! There are some tractor rides that are free and some that needs tickets. There are sheep & little horses or ducks that you can feed which you can purchase the food for more tickets. For example feeding is one ticket = $1. I’ll post the fees for more info. Many different boots to choose from and eat but I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE CORN! 🌽 They have roasted butter corn for $5 and it is delicious! They also have a fresh vegetable section that you get to purchase fruits and veggies. Try to come early since the farm will get busy and if you want to take some good pictures or go on the rides you wouldn’t have to wait and then wait a little more or have 50 people in the backyard of your pictures. Beside the veggies you can pick any of the pumpkins 🎃 you like and pay for it and take them home. Yes, of course they are much more expensive than your local grocery market but you have the option if you really liked one. Strollers are very useful as you walk...
