Lee's County Park Marina — Attraction in Mount Arlington

This place is a nightmare. The issue is not having to pay $20.00 to launch a boat on Lake Hopatcong....it's the out-of-control ramp Nazi who is the issue. Contradictory signs everywhere....if it's Tuesday and there is no one at the ramp, deposit your money in the blue bin with brown stripes. If it's Wednesday of a leap year and there's no one at the ramp, deposit your money in the light blue bin with red stripes. Failure to distinguish between the blue bin and the light blue bin are grounds for ejection. The ramp Nazi wasn't around when we pulled up yet he still had plenty of time and energy to yell at us because we didn't check in with him. I've been launching a boat at this marina since 1992 and today's ramp Nazi was out of control. Add to that boaters who have no consideration for right-of-way on a ramp....if you were waiting to put your boat back on a trailer when I pull up in the parking lot, you have right of way. Today, we had our boat coming up one of the narrow ramp concrete channels and a our trailer was backing down from uphill when a family with a pontoon boat pulls across the ramp, asks if we are coming in and we say yes, and they proceed to block the ramp and launch anyway. We had to back out, move our truck to another ramp and pull out there. All the while, the ramp Nazi has nothing to say. Aggravation is free in this world and I can find it plenty of other places without having to pay for it. I'd pay $30.00 just o avoid the hassle...

New staff are horrible, my friends and family have been docked there for about 15 years and they still ask us who we are and act as if we're new there, every 3 years they change staff and management because their customer service is horrible. All these new rules are in place and I've had numerous altercations/arguments with management over treatment of customers. Yesterday I was threatened to have the cops called on me and thrown out of the marina because I stood up for a friend of mine....... They don't care about their customers,anyone is...

I give 3 stars because of the cost to launch. In addition, 3 weeks ago I was out late night fishing and when I returned someone smashed into my trailer and the park couldn't help me because they do not have camera's on the parking lot. Furthermore, when a storm passes through and the city people are running scared because they still melt in the rain, their is no order or authority directing the ramp traffic. The only reason why I even give this park 2 stars is because the bathrooms are...
