This place is great, but there are a few items that didn't feel good. First, $12 parking fee sucks when I'm already spending ~$300+ for a family of 4. The parking lot isn't even paved nor is there security. Next, I visited a few years ago & appreciated the discount offered to Military Veterans, but that no longer exists :( Guess this non-profit doesn't care. Additionally, you expect to bring a bag for your stuff, (i.e. change of clothes, towels, etc..), but your options to store it are $5 for one-time use locker that almost holds a small purse, or a plastic bin for $15 held behind a counter & accessed via standing in line for 15 min each time you need something & waiting for 1 or 2 overworked teens. Again, we've already paid good money for entry. These things should probably be included, not nickel & dimed imo. The park has a great outdoorsy ambiance w/ large river rock lining the walkway around the river but every structure we had to visit was hard to find since there are no labels or signs telling you what anything is. Lastly, a few younger staff members seemed arrogant & rude, (think, Disneyland park staff w/ a superiority complex), however, most staff we're very nice & helpful. Baxter on the whitewater rafts has a great sense of humor, & Karin over at the zip-lines was full of smiles & energy which we really appreciated! The cafe/restaurant had wonderful food options & prices were spot-on. The beer/wine selection was also impressive & appreciated. All in all would definately recommend. Can't wait to see/visit the rumored hotel in the future.

When people ask me what is there to do in charlotte this is the first thing. 100% the best thing in the charlotte area. I love the running calendar, this weekend was the WC-50 mile ultra. Can’t walk at the moment but cannot wait to get back there

I really enjoy the Whitewater center. There’s plenty to do for every one of all ages. Its walking trails and zip lines are great. Remember the park can get crowded on holiday weekends especially.

My family and I absolutely love this place! We got passes this year and have gone multiple times. It's well worth the money with the variety of activities and time we've spent out there this year; we're never bored. We went on Labor day and had an exceptionally good rafting trip. Our leader (Sean) was top notch. He found a good balance of doing some fun challenges (surfing certain rapids, doing the screaming turtle) and keeping us within our skill range since we had some young family members aboard. Thank you so much. Can't wait for the next time...

This is a nice place with lots of activities to do, but it is expensive and the staff are not well-informed. The map and website are unclear and you have to wander around until you find the station you are looking for. That being said, the...
