We throughly enjoyed our visit at the Sisson Museum today. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I learned so much about local history, and our children (ages 6 and 9) were so engaged with the many hands-on activities that they didn’t want to leave! They especially enjoyed the mountain tunnel and rocks/minerals interactive display, as well as the DIY puppet show, dress up area, locomotive simulation, and earthquake engineering game. The museum is chock-full of local history of the area which we found amazing. From the early lumbering to the railroad to the skiing industry, it was all fascinating. If you have children and especially little ones, there is an abundance of things to play with that would make a totally fun day. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Add on a trip to the fish hatchery next door where you can see trout in various stages and feed them for FREE! If you are a tourist, you...

We had two young kids with us, and the staff took the time to show them around and explain things very patiently. We also asked about other tourist attractions in the area, and they gave us great recommendations.
The museum itself is super cute — there’s so much to see, touch, and learn. It’s both educational and fun, and the kids loved it.
I highly recommend stopping by, even if you don’t have kids. What a...
