We stopped at Shastice Park the first night of our Summer road trip from Tigard, OR through Northern California. We stayed in Mount Shasta a couple of days to hike the amazing trails that are nearby. The Park is very close to town and very easy to get to. As seen in the photos there are amazing views of Mount Shasta from the park. And there are plenty of open green spaces to relax or picnic; as well as a very large Community Garden. The enclosed dog park is fantastic! It is very large, has plenty of trees for shade, has a water bowl and faucet, and has picnic tables. If you are in the area and are looking for an excellent dog park, then definitely give them it a try.

So there is a secret place to play with your pochies behind the park accessible through the road by the railroad tracks next to the high school totally off road. It is fenced has water and big dog and little dog areas. You can also access it from the main park but is a half mile walk easy grass but still a long walk. Plus skate park, winter ice skating, tennis, BBQ, basketball and basketball areas. But there is a dog park use Google map and see trail follow the power poles. Have fun .

This is a great little park in the City of Mount Shasta. We were looking for a park with great views of Mount Shasta and this place did NOT disappoint. If you're looking for that, definitely head to the soccer field where - as long as there's no game being played - you can lay out a blanket and picnic right in front of California's fifth largest mountain. Also, there is a skate park and an ice rink located in the same complex - so definitely worth checking out.

Rating this place for its bike park. Haven't seen much about it online so I went and took a look for myself. I've been racing mountain bikes all around the West coast for the past 5 years, and have to say that the jump line here is a decent size for intermediate riders to practice on. Every jump has a bypass line in case you don't feel like going big as well, which is a nice touch so people don't roll over the jumps and damage them. The one and only complaint I have about this place is that the jumps are as dry as the moon and no one comes out to maintain them. Other than that it's fantastic and would recommend to people wanting to learn to jump...

Very big and beautiful park. Large open grassy fields and a killer view of Mount Shasta. Great place to have a picnic with the family. Due to fire season you cannot use the bbq grills at the moment. This park has a skate park, kids play area. Two of the baseball fields and the tennis courts are closed at the moment but the soccer fields are open. In winter this place also has an ice skating rink. There is also disc golf way back in the woods close to the high school track. This place also has a dog park and...
