It was a wonderful experience. All the shops had something for everyone in our car group.

I have to say my favorite one was Perry/Munn Pottery. They completely won me over...for many reasons but these are my top 3*

*Mr. John and Ms. Judi have beautiful pieces at good prices and are willing to help and explain what and how they make their pieces.

They were also great in the case of the mug I purchased from them. Mr. John put newspaper around it to keep it safe....but I didn't pack it so good for our trip back home (8 hour trip in a car) and it made it home with hairline cracks in it. 😒 (COMPLETELY MY FAULT!!) I only realized that after I put coffee in it and it started to ooze my coffee from those cracks.

**I messaged them through FB Messenger, and within a few days they got back to me. They were firing up the kin that weekend to make more pieces and my mug was some of the pieces they were making again. You never know what they will look like but I found 2 that I loved. (See the pictures)

*I did not expect nor did I ask to get a discount bc I was at fault for not packing it better. To my surprise they did. That is one of the reasons why I will continue to buy from them and of course their pottery is beautiful. Most businesses will tell you it's your fault (which it was) and deal with it.

The mug by itself is the one that has hairline cracks and the other pictures is of what I picked from to replace mine.

We went when it was the last week when most of the shops were closing for the season.

I don't have 1 negative thing to say about Ozark Folk Center all positives. We'll be...

The Cabins at Dry Creek, Skillet Restaurant, and Craft Village were in good shape. What's repelling to some of us are all the pro-JimCrow and pro-Trump signage all around Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View, including a house with a sheriff's vehicle out front just a few streets from the Park and with pro-Trump signage all over the front lawn, and a veiled anti-BLM message about how "Here we kneel for Jesus." On the way into Mountain View there were many businesses with pro-JimCrow signage. The cabin was comfortable and mostly clean. I had to wipe down the AC/heating unit because it was blowing black specs out into the room and had some yellow-brown stuff on it as well. But it was clean overall. Staff was nice. The food from the restaurant was good, and the staff there were nice as well. The Craft Village was well maintained. Staff on the top floor were a bit unfriendly–hostile, but the people working on the lower floor were very friendly. We enjoyed touring the...

Hello World, My wife and I have visited a couple of times this summer and the center is great. I've got some personal highlights and suggestions for you all.

Stay in the cabins if you can, the pool is one one of the best around and I had it to myself every time I walked over. It's very nice.

The Skillet Restaurant is good, we loved the salad bar and country vinagrette and the best veggies I've seen lately. Delish.

Support Rocky! He is very cool, Learn who Willard the Wizard was.

Rocky Clements's magic show is the best! I had no idea and almost skipped his shop but he and it ended up my favorite! His descriptions and educational re-enactment of old timey illusionists are "magic." See what I did there.

Let's not forget the wonderful music from one and all.

Authentic Unlimited, The Waddington Brothers were stunningly talented. And 5 South is...

We enjoyed Ozark Folk Center, I think if we went on the weekend there would be much more going on. However we really enjoyed it. All of the craftsmen are individual business owners so be sure to patronize them. I loved the log cabin with the rock gardens and root cellar. The restaurant wasn’t open and a few other areas weren’t either. Blacksmithing, broom making, stained glass, knife making, Pottery making, printing press, hand bows, painting, herbalist, live bluegrass music, etc, all very interesting. I will probably go back later in the week when there’s a little more action but we still saw a lot. If you show them your Blanchard Springs Cavern ticket you get a discount! I think it save us $4 each!

Interesting place to go for a day if you are in the area. We ate a meal in The Skillet Restaurant before we walked around. They have a great salad bar!The little village area where you can go in and out and watch craftmen and artists demonstrate their craft was kind of fun. We enjoyed some more then others. The Copper Colorists was a fun shop. They do beautiful work with copper and the lady that demonstrated, Rachel Matthews, was very entertaining. I bought a beautiful flame painted pin in the shape of a butterfly. Also, the magician was fun to watch!
