I started taking lessons with Jacquelyn in July of 2020 when I was looking for a way to continue honing my vocal technique while at home during lockdown. I am not exaggerating when I say that doing so was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The growth that I have experienced both as a vocalist, and a performer as a whole cannot be understated. In addition to being an excellent vocal coach with a wonderful team (I have taken a few lessons with Sarah as well, and she is absolutely fantastic!) Jacqui is compassionate, funny, encouraging, and knowledgeable about “The Business.” Any time I ask her a question regarding auditions or professional gigs, I feel confident knowing she’ll offer an insightful and informed answer, which is invaluable as a professional actress starting out! My daughter loves working with Jacquelyn. She has been performing in musicals for the last 10 years and takes her singing, acting and auditioning very seriously. She has learned a great deal from Jacquelyn and enjoys every lesson! They focus on technique which is crucial for a singer. She knows that Jacquelyn is genuinely proud of her when she gets the parts she’s auditioning for and Jacquelyn is always excited for her accomplishments! The zoom lessons have been flawless and there have been no issues with the lessons being online. We had only participated in lessons that were in person prior to starting with Jacquelyn so we were a little hesitant, but it has been rewarding and productive along with convenient! Jacqui is, without a doubt, the best voice teacher I’ve ever worked with. From our first lesson, she worked hard to foster an environment of trust, where I could take risks and not feel stupid when I messed up or cracked. On any given day, she is able to immediately assess how my voice is doing, and tailor my lesson to my needs in the moment.
