Beautiful place to walk but WATCH YOUR STEP! The pier to the South breakwater lighthouse is very uneven and dangerous in places. Because of the water constantly hitting it, some pieces are severely damaged on the pier, with one section mostly missing from the top of the walkway washing off to the side. The pier is about two sidewalk width with large boulders on each side. I personally would not bring small children or anyone without very sure footing onto this pier.
