(Not Wheelchair Accessible) Trapped in the Bark Park. Thank you to the Muskogee Police that helped me today. I've loved bringing my mobility assistance service dog here while I could still walk. For a couple of years now, I've been in a wheelchair and today was the first time that I've been able to go back and go in with my service dog. (((o(゚▽゚)o))) It was a bit of a painful drop getting in. And it really looked like I could get back out but, I couldn't. I know that when I was walking it was wheelchair accessible but it looks like the slope to the gate at the front has washed away over the years and it took 3 officers to get me, in my chair, back out. It was very embarrassing but they were super nice about it and assured my fiancé and myself that they'd talk to the parks and recreation department and make it wheelchair accessible again. I still love this park and so does Pip. I can't wait until we're able to visit safely again.
I'll update once it's wheelchair accessible...
Read moreOh my, where do I start? I like coming to the Bark Park. There is lots of trees, tables, places for my humans to sit. I like to run from one end to the other. And then when I am done...brace yourself... I run back for no reason at all. Other dogs come with their humans and I like to sniff their butts and then run away so they can't sniff mine. The humans wind up talking alot but it isn't always about me so I pay little attention. I like car ride over. My favorite game is I find the muddiest place and 💩 poop and then see how fast my human can get a bag and pick it up. It is more fun than sounds. My human is getting faster... More practice is required. OK got to go, that 🐿 squirrel is back.

Read moreThe park was beautiful, my main issue was with some of the people there. One dog was being bullied by two others, and their owners barely intervened. Other park goers tended to be on the ruder side, and a man who was coughing up a storm was sending his dog in to play with the others. Coming to the park, I'd be wary and try to go at times where it's as close to empty as possible. Some people just don't keep an eye on their dogs, unfortunately, which can lead to dangerous...
