As a luxury wedding photographer, this barn + homestead is basically a dream come true. The natural light is chef’s kiss, the open spaces are perfect for capturing every angle, and the landscapes are downright stunning. The long driveway lined with majestic oak trees? Unreal—perfect for dramatic entrances or golden-hour portraits in summer or fall. The working stable has been beautifully converted into part of the venue, complete with twinkling string lights and vintage chandeliers—talk about magical evening for pics --and for the horses! And yes, there are horses. Gorgeous, gentle horses grazing behind pristine white fences that add charm and whimsy to every photo (and they look pretty cool in the backdrop of wedding portraits). Guests also have plenty of cozy spots to mingle: a back patio with a firepit for relaxed conversations and a sprawling property dotted with gardens, benches, and perfect nooks for candid moments. This venue is ideal for couples who love a laid-back, country vibe but still want endless gorgeous photo opportunities. Every wedding here feels effortless, beautiful, and full of character—basically, my kind of day! -Mikayla + Capture the Canvas Photography (preferred vendor)

Northfork farm was the definition of perfection for a wedding! So many guests complimented the natural beauty behind the land and the support from the owners throughout my wedding was impecable! It rained very heavily the night before my wedding so when I arrived the day of to start getting ready they were vacuuming up whatever rain seeped in through the tent! Unfortunately our wedding day landed on the hottest day of the year with the heat index at 119° F which was horrific, but the AC inside the tent made sure everyone was nice and cool for the entire night! Emma did such an amazing job! She ensured that NOTHING went wrong on my wedding day! Any questions that vendors needed to ask me she covered so I could just relax and get ready the entire morning! She shot me some texts of clarifications and her set up was exactly the way I envisioned it would be! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to absolutely anyone! As a bride, you should but this place at the top of your list to visit!

As a wedding videographer, Northfork Farm Weddings is truly one of my favorite venues to film. The property is absolutely stunning—rolling fields, a charming barn, beautiful horses, and plenty of natural light that makes every shot look like a fairytale. The team at Northfork is incredibly organized and helpful, making the day smooth not only for the couple but for all vendors involved. They care deeply about the experience and it shows in every detail. If you’re looking for a venue that offers rustic elegance, scenic backdrops, and a relaxed, romantic atmosphere—this is it. I always look forward to capturing weddings here!

Let me start by saying who leaves the Bride standing outside by herself, without a jacket, in the freezing cold for 45 minutes? The answer is Northfork! There were 70 mph winds and freezing temperatures. There was no communication. The ceremony was delayed and the wedding coordinator forgot the bride was waiting outside. The venue lost power a couple of hours before the ceremony and didn't have generators. How is this being prepared? They got one generator but that was not enough to get everything up and running. We offered to go to Home Depot to buy more generators and they said we couldn't. A lot of our decorations could not be displayed due to the lack of generators. So that was money lost for us. Our coffee station couldn't be set up for the same reason. Again our money lost. Our photo booth had to be set up outside by the barn, again because of them not having enough generators. The guests didn't want to go outside to use the photo booth so we lost money on this as well. The reception tent was damaged from the high winds. Northfork didn't have enough workers so some of the bridal party were doing repairs. There were not enough chairs set up for all of our guests for the ceremony so some of the guests had to stand. Before the ceremony started I mentioned to the owner about not having enough chairs set up, he rolled his eyes, said nothing and walked away. There was no power in the bridal suite. We could not freshen up, run water, or flush the toilet. The bathrooms for the guests were totally in the dark. No back up lights. 2 of our guests got injured walking up the steps to the bathroom. There weren't any first aid kits in sight. Thank goodness I came prepared with one. The bride and groom didn't even eat dinner together because they kept getting pulled away for every issue that arose. Where was the wedding coordinator that we paid for? She should have been the one called upon to fix each problem, as well as the owners. The parents of the bride and groom were also being called upon to fix issues. We all should have been left to enjoy the day. They took no accountability. They were not prepared for the horrible weather conditions, even though this weather was forecast beforehand. Not to mention as well that when we took a tour of the venue a year before the wedding, they assured us that they would be 100% prepared and ready to handle any weather conditions possible. The bottom line is that I would not recommend using this venue for anything, especially a wedding! Take my word for it!

...I just want to add a few things after reading Northfork's reply. If the bride knew she would be waiting outside in the cold and wind for 45 minutes she would have grabbed a sweater or something. Waiting for 45 minutes was extreme and she had no idea she would have waited that long. The bathrooms in the bridal suite were not functioning at all and the bathrooms for the ceremony were far from 100% functioning. The outdoor decorations were not an issue. We knew due to the weather we were limited. This issue was the indoor decorations. A lot of our decorations were not used that we purchased. The photo booth had to be moved outside due to lack of power not due to the limited space because of our guest count. Yes the bride and groom needed to be advised about some issues but to a point. The wedding planner and owners should have been able to handle things and let the bride and groom enjoy their day! Let them eat their dinner together! That never should have occurred. The bottom line is that they...

This place is absolutely beautiful! The staff are very friendly and helpful and accommodating. Pete and Laurie are so sweet, and Carly and Chloe were also nice, they did my hair and did a magnificent job in under an hour! They work fast! They have a few different spots where you can have the ceremony, which are all very nice, I had mine in the horse barn and loved it! The guests could hear the speaker clearly without a microphone, but they do have speakers in the barn. Cloud nine is a miniature horse who stays in the stable and so he was there for our ceremony as well! :) I enjoyed hearing him rustle around in the hay during the ceremony, it lightened the anxiety, and I love horses anyways, but he is a horse and doesnt know how to stay quiet, so if you dont want a horse rustling in hay during the ceremony then maybe dont go with the barn, another indoor option, if it's cold out, is the tent where the reception takes place and that is just as beautiful! I love the way they have it decorated, and it was very spacious and the temperature was also comfortable later in the evening when it started to cool down (My wedding was October 18th 2019). Pete and Laurie also offered to adjust the lights for us during the reception and were very attentive to us the whole night! They offered suggestions that were very helpful as well. The property is just gorgeous and was perfect for photos, and since my wedding was in the evening they were kind enough to let us come early to get ready and take photos before the ceremony so that we could take them in the day before it got dark. I can go on for ages about how wonderful it was and just how easy they made it for us! Thank you again to them and their staff! (They also provided parking attendants! And their daughters offer hair/makeup and coffee services!) It was beautiful, and wonderful! Thank you thank you thank you!! 14/10...

Beware of the owners and staff you're about to deal with if you're interested in using this facility for your wedding. They were NOT prepared by any means and will take ZERO ownership and accountability. Granted, the weather was not great this day, but the owners assured us their tents can withstand weather and that they had backup plans ready, which clearly was false. The tent had multiple windows break from the wind, leaving holes that needed to be repaired in the middle of the wedding day. They lost power and did not have a backup generator, delaying the effectiveness of the music and dj and microphone. They also only have a trailer available for bathrooms, and once they finally got a backup generator, it wasn't enough to provide power to the restrooms. This left the restrooms without light and without running water, which is frankly illegal. One of our guests even fell and cut her leg open because she couldn't see going up the trailer steps. Lastly, and maybe the biggest of all, is the wedding coordinator provided by Northfolk left the bride waiting in the freezing cold and high winds for 45 minutes on her own on the front porch. Her lack of organization had the ceremony delayed, and she "forgot" that she had the bride waiting on the porch, with no jacket freezing. This was 1 of many many times throughout the night that the coordinator was scrambling and just not organized. The bride and groom still managed to have a great time, creating a memory of a lifetime, but no thanks to Northfolk Farms. We have a great family and came together to ensure everyone still had a great time, and I'm so happy for the bride and groom. But you should think elsewhere on your venue. These owners should not be in business and should not be allowed to be responsible for...
