Ghost Block Estate Wines — Attraction in Napa Valley AVA

My husband and I spent 5 days exploring wineries in Sonoma and Napa County. We explored almost 20 wineries during our entire stay. One of the most memorable overall experiences, hands down, was our time spent at Ghost Block and their wonderful staff.

We were received with a warm and genuine welcome from Karri. Karri guided us throughout our tasting experience. She was truly knowledgeable and took the time to sit with us not only to explain the wines but also to share with us the origin of Ghost Block, the family history and other fascinating facts about the winery. In addition to offering the wine tasting menu, Karri took the time to learn about our individual preferences to customize our tasting experience.

Not only did Karri educate us on the process behind the varietals, she added her own personal touches which made the visit far more unique in comparison to other experiences we have had. It was refreshing to learn about wines in a conversation that did not seem rehearsed.

We have been to wineries in Napa, Sonoma and the central coast several times. My husband and I had never experienced a tasting flight where we truly enjoyed each and every offering, until we visited Ghost Block. We were truly moved by our experience that we decided to become wine club members for the first time.

We visited seven wineries over Memorial Day weekend and all four members of our party voted that this was our favorite winery. Maybe it was the weather that made the private tour extremely calming, or perhaps it was the picturesque view that captivated us when we got to just pause and listen to the wind rustle the leaves of the vines. Either way, I can definitely say the foundation to the entire experience was Luis. I am a Napa Valley local and just found this gem. Tasting here is a touch of bougie founded in grass roots. The staff are warm, hard working people. The history of the wines, vines and families is a treasure. To my local friends, run, and enjoy a Napa tasting room that makes you feel welcomed and appreciated, buy the wines that are great, reasonably priced with the knowledge that the money isn’t going to some big corporation but to families whose kids are right here in our schools and employees who are living just down the road.
