My wife and I went to Spring Mountain last week and it was once of the highlights in our self made winery tour. We heard of this place from a travel guide book and didn't think much of it. I called ahead and figured out that you needed a reservation most times to enter. Luckily we were traveling during the shoulder season and we were able to get a reservation on the same day.

As we entered the gate, we checked in and the gate was opened electronically by our host. This vineyard was beautiful as we walked into it and the host came out of the building with two glasses of their sauvignon blanc to greet us. Set us up on the best view since no one else was there and started the wine tasting. Just so everyone knows, you cannot split a tasting here so it's going to run a bit more than the usual for most people. At the moment it ended up being $80 for my wife and I. And I believe it was well spent. We had the ability to try their really aged cabs. It was perfect and amazing. We also tried some of their red blends branded as Elivette. The views from this tasting area is gorgeous and I cannot say that enough. We were never rushed and the host took his time to make sure we were enjoying the well aged cabs they got.

I highly recommend a visit to this place if you want to taste one of the best cabs...

I cannot say enough about Spring Mountain Vineyard. Tucked away behind lush greenery, this beautiful gated property and vineyard are the thing of dreams. With its quaint cottage, eye-popping landscaping, and even two cute little donkeys, the rich history of this vineyard had us never wanting to leave. Although, the property and the wine were both magnificent, I have to say that our visit was truly a dream come true solely based on our time with our wine guru and guide, Gera. While he wasn't supposed to be our guide for the day, we were so glad he was. His wine knowledge, kindness and, overall, amazing energy made our visit that much better. My husband and I had such a great time hearing all the stories about the cottage, property, and original owners--as well as the wine production and caves itself. With Gera, you feel like you're party of the Spring Mountain family and this was, hands down, the best part of our entire trip to the Napa Valley. We have already decided we will be returning next Fall and bringing the whole family with us to experience what we did with Gera. Thank you Spring Mountain Vineyard and Gera for a magical experience we won't...

Our visit to Spring Mountain Winery with Napa Native Tours was an unforgettable experience! 🌿 Nestled in the picturesque setting famously known from "Falcon Crest," the vineyard offers breathtaking views that captivate the senses from the moment you arrive.

The rich history of Spring Mountain is woven into every aspect of the winery, and the knowledgeable staff did a fantastic job of bringing it to life with engaging stories and insights. The wines were nothing short of excellent—each one a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of the winemaking team.

The charming atmosphere and scenic beauty made our time there truly special. We felt transported to another world, surrounded by the serene landscapes and lush vineyards.

A huge thank you to Napa Native Tours for organizing such a seamless and delightful visit. Spring Mountain Winery is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring wine country, and we can't wait to return! 🍷🌄 #SpringMountainWinery #NapaNativeTours...

My favorite wines in Napa, and the only place where I’ve joined the wine club. Though I'm far from an oenophile, I live about an hour away from Napa and think that the Spring Mountain district has some of Napa's best wines. And Spring Mountain Vineyard harvests the largest parcel of land on the mountain. The 2005 Elivette (the only California wine to win gold at 2010 Decanter World Wine Awards) might be the best wine I've ever tasted. All of SMV's wines are exceptional, the regular tasting room is intimate (~6 guests), and the 1885 Queen Anne house on the property is gorgeous, with a ~16 person dining room used for estate tastings and private events. The grounds are also beautifully kept. And the vineyard is quite close to St. Helena, which is a beautiful Napa Valley town with cute hotels. The only downside for me is that Spring Mountain is at the northern end of Napa Valley, so it's a bit longer drive than vineyards farther south. No walk-ins, so be sure to book a tasting in advance!
