Great, new park but still room for improvement.
The good = smooth, good metal, lots of fun stuff.
Room for improvement = not the best setup for multiple riders in the main area can lead to collisions. Lots of blind spots, lots of criss crossing paths. Basically set up for about 5-6 skaters to be skating the entire park at any given moment.
Very tight transitions in the shallow ends of the bowls. Everything in the bowls goes to vert, whether it's 10 feet or 4 feet. Dropping in on a four foot wall with a three foot transition is tricky.
Mostly transition, only a few small street obstacles.
But hey, it's built, it's good, I don't want to complain about stuff that isn't that bad and isn't going to change.
The biggest improvement that could be made today, at relatively minor expense, would be to add some shade. You will fry here in the summer, and the only shade is some trees outside the park. Some shade around the edges of the park would be a huge improvement so kids can cool off while waiting for their next run.
What would really be nice would be a large roof over the entire park that would give shade in the summer and keep snow off...
Read moreThis park has some very tall vert (one QP is like 15 god damn feet) that can be great for BMX, scooters or experienced skaters that can actually manage to get enough speed but any kids should be HEAVILY supervised here because they could really get hurt. it has street obstacles around the perimeter that can be good for learning but they kind of feel crampt. I do really like that one of these areas almost has a snake run but then it comes out to a 2 feet wide sidewalk over a big QP and then you're going over a narrow hump on top of this.
I'll admit I'm a total beginner but I didn't like the bowls at all, very deep, very little flatground, very steep, but I'm sure better riders can have a lot of fun. I would rather them just make one bigger bowl than 2 meh ones.
I really don't like the weird pizza oven cut out in one QP. lots of kids where crawling in and out it and I almost ran over one coming out because I went around the hump that goes over it, this seems like a recipe for disaster.
If you want big vert it's great, if you want flatground and more street, you might want to...
Read moreIf your a BMX rider and like sketchy transitions then this park might be for you. I've been riding BMX for over 20 years and never have I ridden a public skatepark park with such dangerous ramps. My first time here the 1/4 pipes with extremely tight transition and to much vert for their size threw me for an unexpected loop, I snapped a tooth in 1/2 and got a concussion. In 20+ years I'd never ridden a ramp like that let alone a skatepark almost completely constructed of them. The huge Vert wall is awesome I'll give the park that but everything else is not very BMX friendly. Its great to see the skaters shred the place, the ramps construction doesn't seem to affect them much but the place is definitely not for me. A 4' tall 1/4 pipe should not have vert, a 6' shouldn't...
