First time here. Love that they gave real restrooms. We got there late morning. We thought there was a sandy beach area but there is only grass. Definitely bring chairs or a large blanket to sit on. Perfect place to float in the water, paddle board or kayak. By late afternoon the parking lot was full and there was no place to park. Obviously a good place to hang with friends or family. You can rent kayaks or paddle boards.

Low Key place. Went on a Tuesday, so it wasn’t very busy at all. Pretty views. Great place to canoe/paddle board or take the dog for a swim. Nice beach area- I don’t swim often in places other than my home, but I did here and would go back again.. bathrooms were locked which were kinda annoying, There was a Porter pot- thankfully I didn’t have to go in but had to change in/outside of the car.

I took my kids there on Memorial Day for second time, we were there before when trash was not such an issue, I thought maybe it was just a bad luck. It was totally trashed on Memorial Day 2020 with both shore and the water full of random litter. Not gonna come back, I felt uneasy about safety (could there be broken glass in the water?) and cleanliness. It’s an urban scene.

Beautiful location to just relax with family and friends. Not much to say about the parking lot being long and narrow. The walkway to the lake is not level and it is rocky. So be careful when walking you could twist your ankle. Great place to paddle board swim or canoe. This place definitely needs to be more handicapped accessible. More tables with cover from the sun to be able to enjoy the water. Great place for elderly and young at heart to go and watch the water. To access the water is difficult if you cannot walk. So be prepared for a bit of a hike to get to and from the waters edge. There is no beach just some sandy soil and rocks. Mostly for people to paddle board or small boat. Not one with an engine but one like a canoe. Also bring your own toilet paper water and soap to wash up your hands if you plan to stay clean as there is only a...

This place could be great if people would just pack out what they packed in. I can't believe that people just leave their trash everywhere. It's a shame. Sadly I could point fingers as to the "who" is doing this but the trash itself and the receipts with their names on it speak volumes. It's upsetting to say the least. Is it really that hard to use the very sack that you packed in all of your Corona's and your Dos XX's with to carry that trash back to the trash can? I guess we'll have to get a volunteer group together to pick up after you since you didn't take your momma fishing. Ridiculous and disgusting. I pray God has mercy on you as you will be held accountable for trashing His creation.

I should have taken pictures of the names on the receipts and posted them along with the trash sites left behind.

Aside from that, the place would have...

We used to come here to picnic for the day and swim. We went today and there’s a man, Russell, kicking everyone out of the water and lot if they do not intend on using a kayak or paddle board. They no longer allow people to swim and no longer allow dogs at all. This is such a disappointment, it was known as a Nashville spot to swim. We no longer have free access areas and they are forcing everyone to go to Anderson beach where they can charge you to park, no dogs allowed, and are only allowed swim within the roped off area. I plan on emailing multiple complaints and I hope that others do as well. It’s atrocious that our public lands are being...
