They are very unhelpful. I placed a laptop on hold and received a notification that it was ready. I went to pick it up on Thursday evening and tried to use it the next day, Friday, but was unable to because the computer was locked. I called the library and was told that IT would need to unlock it, but they were unavailable until Monday. I asked the staff member to submit a ticket, but she told me I would need to come in so they could scan the laptop, and they might be able to trade it out.
When I came to the library, the person at the front desk told me there was nothing they could do. They said they could try to move me to the front of the waiting list, but there were already 96 people on it. The staff member had a “sorry, not my problem” attitude.
Anytime there is an issue at this branch, the staff consistently provides terrible customer service. I am writing this review so management can train the staff to do better.
It is not my fault the laptop was locked. The library needs to update its process. Staff should check laptops to ensure they are working and not locked before checking them...
