Probably the worst marked trail head and park in existence. Very hard to find parking. Lot of weird security signs posted everywhere, just all around confusing. I bet they get a lot of ppl driving where they are not supposed to just by accident. Fyi there is no parking at the trail head. Do not be confused, even though there is a road there. The only parking is at the distillery.
I genuinely enjoyed the trails, even though there are not ditches cut along side the trails so they are easily washed out by water in mild rain storms.
Initially I really had a hard time understanding all the fake security measures and ridiculous parking, but after my hike, I went to the local Walmart and now I understand. There was likely a drug issue at this park at some point. Definitely a more run down town than the...
Read moreFound this gorgeous spot on Google today! My two pups loved it. They got muddy but I was able to rinse them off in the water lol You can swim there, it's like a natural floating river. They have zip lining so you can hear them here an there and see them above you at times. It's really cool. Can't wait to go back. It's easy to access and the trails are nice. Please keep your dogs on a leash though! One of my rescue dogs is not friendly and weighs 10 pounds. All the sudden there is this huge black dog running to us. I had to pick up my dog and hold and hug him. I had no idea what was going to happen. They we're going crazy and I'm grateful no one was injured. She was very rude, couldn't believe it. Follow the rules and keep your dog on a leash. PLEASE and thank you! Enjoy!...
Read moreI'm just passing through town and thought we'd check this out while here. The hike through the trees was nice to get away from the city and the road for a bit. If you bring your pups, definitely bring something to clean up with after your hike, or at least something to cover your seats for the ride home. You will encounter stretches of mud along the trail. On our visit, we also ran into several downed trees laying across the trail. The only one we took caution getting around was in a slick muddy area. I've seen a few people commenting about the keeping up of the trail better and I think I'd have to agree. It's really a nice spot, but a little attention to the trail would do wonders. Anyway... go and...
