I prefer this park to the Bay Area dog park. Both the people and dogs are nicer, though I recommend looking at the peak times if youād like to socialize your dog- I donāt always run into other people when Iām there. They just filled in some areas that often gathered water which is nice. It is on the smaller side but I donāt mind, as itās easier to keep track of my dog (the shape and size of Bay Area park made it almost impossible to keep up with my energetic pup). Iād definitely recommend this park to anyone! I look forward to running into acquaintances and enjoy the nice breeze by the water. The rest of the park is great too! I often see people walking their dogs on the paths next to the water. My only complaint is when people bring their (very) young kids into the large dog pen which I donāt think is safe. They expect dogs will ignore them but I guess on the plus side, I found out my puppy LOVES children and doesnāt leave them alone... Tends to cause me some stress over worries theyāll get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a review specifically for the dog park. I gave one extra stat for the surrounding scenery outside of the fence but that's it. Drove 20 minutes out just to not even be able to use the dog park because we don't have that specific cities dog tag, or have their rabies shots paperwork on hand. What? That's such a dumb rule. Waste of a 20 minute ride. People also didn't even care about the dog size park rules either. The park itself only had one tube and one water fountain and some benches. That's it. Not worth a trip. We only tried this one because the others were closed on a Monday. Even then, the place is still pretty crowded. Would not recommend unless you can handle different dog sizes in the same part and live in the same...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās a nice parkā¦. On the water and maintained by City of Nassau Bay. Went to use the dog park after finding it on Google Maps after searching for āpublic dog parkā however I was as not able to take my dogs in because there is a big sign posted on the entrance stating that all dogs must have Nassau Bay Resident tags on there collars. Iām sure thereās a fine if you use the park and arenāt a resident. Which is kinda whack since Nassau Bay is such a small city and there is a shortage of dog parks in our area. With all the neighboring cities so close it would be nice if NB would open its dog park to residents of Webster, Seabrook, League City, etc since we all pay Galveston County taxes. It was empty when I visited and my dogs would have...
