This used to be a nice park with a good vibe. It's now run down with Nassau Bay police out harassing & intimidating people, making the park a bad experience.
▪︎Half the lights burned out on the tennis courts for a few years now. ▪︎People bringing their dogs on the tennis courts to runaround & poop all over the place (WHEN THERE'S A DOG PARK NEXT TO THE TENNIS COURTS!). ▪︎Handicapped person being picked on by thugs at the basketball court.
NASSAU BAY POLICE patrols this area like a hawk, doing nothing about the above stuff mentioned, choosing to harass people out playing tennis instead.
▪︎Nassau Bay Police harassed me after I got done playing tennis. I pulled up in front of the tennis court when the park was empty (at closing) to pick up a shirt I left on the court & take a few pictures/video of the burned out lights. Didnt want it to look like I was parking there in the turnaround & going to play, so I left my truck running. AGAIN, NO ONE ELSE AROUND LATE AT NIGHT. Nassau Bay Police pulls up behind me and writes me a ticket for leaving my truck running while I went across the grass (30 feet) to get my shirt & take a few pics of the burned out lights.
*My family has been in the lighting business for years & I wanted to help get them replaced.
Police Officer was aggressive, unfriendly & disrespectful. This could have just been a simple warning. Yes I now know theres a law against leaving your car running while you're not in it and it is a crime to do so. With all of the circumstances (no one in the park; my simply pulling up in front of the court to get my shirt; park closing late at night), I feel this could have & should have been handled differently. Should have been where he explained the law and gave me a warning. This is what I wouldve done. Nassau Bay Police made it where we simply dont go to this park anymore, nor trust Nassau Bay Police. I've always defended the Police in a society that's so out of control with true criminals attacking the police in many different ways we see on a daily basis. Things like this (Officers like this) make it tough for me to continue my support for them. This has changed my opinion / view of them & what they're doing.
Instead of taking care of the troublemakers and REAL issues, Nassau Bay Police chose to harass me and run us out of the park. I recommend staying as far away from this park as possible. Many other places to play in the surrounding area where you dont have to deal with B.S like this! This is a perfect example of "Harass, Intimidate & Collect money" versus...
Read moreThis park is one of the best kept secrets in the Clear Lake area! It's nestled in the heart of a well established neighborhood with diverse homes complete with beautiful architecture. Arriving at this park I hope you find the simplicity, beauty, and tranquility that I have found with every visit. The park also has two play areas for small and large dogs not to mention a covered blacktop for basketball and a walking path that surrounds the beautiful pond and cuts through the neighborhood. During these intense COVID ridden days taking a trek over to this park will serve you well. Take care...
Read moreWe discovered this park unintentionally while browsing places near NASA. And what a beautiful surprise it was! The park is very picturesque. There are walking trails that take you along the banks of Clear Lake. There is a dog park but it is private and for neighborhood residents only. There is also a basketball court and a pier walk. There are ducks, they add a charm to this place. But the most beautiful thing about this park are the sunsets! You could just sit, relax, and unwind watching the beautiful sunset here. I keep coming back to this park every...
