I had a large, 80 year old portrait of my Mom as a child. It had been hanging for years near a gas-heat floor register in an uninsulated home in rural Maine headed primarily with wood. (so this delicate oil painting had endured extreme cold and heat fluctuations and occasional smoke.) This had never been cleaned. I knew I should get it restored and cleaned but put it off because I was worried about the expense and having someone work on a family heirloom. When I noticed the flaking I looked around and found great reviews for Renjeau Galleries and brought it to them. They immediately handled it with care, taking off the aged frame to look at it more carefully. Pointed out some some more flaking and problem areas. I was nervous but felt I was leaving the portrait in good hands. When I came back a few weeks later to pick up the painting and it was unveiled, I almost burst into tears. The restoration and cleaning was stunning. Mom's delicate hazel eye color came through and they touched up all the flaking. Absolutely incredible. I had never seen it look this good. I cannot thank them enough for bringing Mom's portrait back to life. The original frame was on the portrait and was falling apart. After having the painting restored, I decided to get it framed. We picked out a great semi-rustic style frame that had the perfect metallic color that landed in a gold with cool tones with artificially worn parts on the frame. I got it back and loved the color and frame style by quickly grew to loath the intentional scuff marks on the frame itself. I called to ask if there was anything that could be done about the scuff marks. They had me bring it in and they sent it out to be repainted. The paint tones matched perfectly and it looks incredible.

The professionalism, care, and attention they paid was exceptional, bar none. I would bring any painting to them for restoration, cleaning, and/or framing. Renjeau is worth every penny.

Ever since we discovered Renjeau Gallery in 2006, we've depended on them for all of our framing needs. I called Rob and the team at Renjeau after a large canvas painting fell and tore. Rob explained the restoration process clearly and the price quoted was certainly fair for the amount of detailed work the repair required. When I went to pick the painting up, I was thrilled to see that the artwork had been returned to it's original form. To the blind eye, it is impossible to tell that there had ever been an issue which I genuinely did not think could be done. I was so impressed with the quality of the work that I decided to get the piece custom framed, which Rob and his team expertly helped with.
