It sounds like people can go aboard and tour the paddlewheel. My sisters and I walked around it in June while on a discovery visit of the Brownville area, then my husband and I stayed at the River Inn Resort at the beginning of August, but we didn't know they give tours. I sure wish I would have known, because I really wanted to see the whole thing---bummer!

Awesome!! Visit is free but donations much appreciated 😁 Generally open 12 - 5 but if nobody there please call number on the gate. Short wait. Colleen was a terrific guide. Very good explanation of the dredge. Nice museum and restoration in the works. I love that it is in original condition although restoring is needed. Recommend visiting and toot the horn!

Found this gem taking a road off the highway. I will say that from a distance it looks abandoned but when you get there, it's amazing. The tour guide was very informative and nice. There is so much history we learned by this stop. The museum is free just kindly give a donation.

This boat is just fantastic! My boyfriend and I just happened to be there around the time they were temporarily open, and Coleen (the amazing tour guide) greeted us- and proceeded to give us an absolutely amazing tour! There is nothing that equates to being able to actually be IN the history of this Dredge. I highly recommend!! They run on donations, but it is free to visit. A sweet piece of Nebraskan (and river) history!!! Coleen was so kind and welcoming....
