What a beautiful place. A little hard to find but fortunately the natives are friendly. The falls are down the hill following the bike paths. As I’m making my way to the falls I hear rustling of leaves . Look up and Bambi is watching me like a hawk. Where I’m from deer run from people I was not use to a deer watching me like a TV show. Make my way to the falls and it is beautiful. The scenery is magical. Slow moving waterfall that in some places drips down and other spot flows with purpose. Great for pictures. Not a powerful waterfall so the kids and pets can stand close with no danger of getting washed away. Awesome place!

This was my first trip here and I have to say, it was worth it. I hiked the short trail to the falls and spent a few hours just enjoying the beauty. You have to pay a park fee to get in so please be prepared for that. If you are from out of town it is $12 for a day pass if you are from Nebraska it is $6 a day. Completely worth it! The trails are clean and well marked, there are clean bathrooms and so many activities to do (not just hiking). Definitely recommend visiting this park!

A nice little quarter mile hike if that to the falls. They are quite small in comparison to actual falls. None the less though a nice little scenic hike inside Platte River State Park. Other trails easily connect to it inside the park. Parking is nearby, very accessible, and kid/pet friendly.
