Took my 9 year old here for a tour of this garden space in early Sept on a Sunday 2021. We are ourselves are avid gardeners with a large plant collection and creative artistic display so we were hoping for a more well-tended to garden, but the features were very nice regardless of the lack of deadheading!😁 .
Our favorite features were, as to be expected, the water feature, a rambling 200' or so small creek with 5 foot waterfall leading to the carp river. The dahlia beds were also lovely showing many types, including cactus, ball, dinnerplate, variegated, black, etc. There was a lovely patch of yellow crocosmia, a favorite of mine. All in all, Needs a bit of work such as deadheading the dahlias to get bigger better blooms! Or basic gardening needs - but I'm guessing it is privately owned with not a lot of help or time to garden. It could use a refreshing of plants also. There were quite a few unfinished plots, though maybe july would be better. There was a huge mansion type house next to it that, I'm assuming , was the owners?. Theres not a lot of information to find these details out. It feels like stepping into a rich person's highly landscaped back yard, so a bit awkward and not a lot of soul to the place but the Yooper version of it so with huge pines and jagged rock outcroppings along a pristine river. Worth the 10 minutes to drive here for sure! I'm glad to see that there is a garden up here! That's a...

The reason I'm giving four stars rather than five is because the owners are practically impossible to get a hold of. There were times when I would leave them three or four voicemails and never get...
