Trails like this can be boring—mile after mile of green tunnel. But not this one. Superb surfaces, views, interesting trail-side entertainments and educations abound. Also, the trail tracks through Negaunee, Ishpeming and Marquette for all your urban support needs. Definitely a destination cycling trail.

One of the most beautiful places in the UP. From the ramba trails to the ruins, this place has many sights and to be seen and things to do. The trails are very well taken care of and there is no garbage. Weather it's the summer or winter you can walk the trail as the snow is packed down by skiers.

The trail was fantastic. I drove to Negaunee, Mi to the trailhead there and rode out in the beautiful Fall colors. It is mainly paved and a great ride. It goes for a long distance, but I did the areas from Negaunee, to Ishphming to Republic, where the trail starts from that point going out. There are many historical points of interest about the mining and mining trails along the way, with pieces of old mining equipment on display to check out. It was an extremely beautiful time to go with all the...
