A very nice place to take a short hike and a cool swim. Park at the South Yuba Bride. Hike about 7 minutes upstream on either side until you reach the swimming hole. I heard there is a nice swimming hole downstream but the trail was very rocking and steep so I turned back. For fit hikers only. Update, I hiked down to the pools south of the bridge. You take the trail that starts between a cut out downed tree. Walk past a shrine and walk down a steep Rocky trail. Many pools to choose from. I recomend good hiking boots but I did see a young lady in sandals make it....
Read moreBeautiful crystal clear water! I had an amazing time adventuring this area. Plenty of places to jump in and cool off. Minimal parking and public restrooms from what I saw as well as accessible paths to get to the water if needed for wheelchair bound individuals. If you are attempting to get to the waterfall you have to go down the river a little ways. There is no set path for this so be careful, very rocky and steep. Overall I would rate it a 5 but disappointed that there was a lot of trash people had not packed back out as well as minimal parking and restroom...

No one maintains this place so please don’t litter. Don’t vandalize, and as always, be safe. There are no lifeguards here. I’ve seen some locals come to pickup trash left by visitors (shame on you!), please be mindful.
A bit of a walk from parking (half a mile, maybe less)- it’s an easy terrain. No ankle breakers.
Water is frigid! But just jump-in- “you’ll get used to it”
Good for kids(with floaties) and adults because the current is low.
Some deep parts where it’s safe enough to dive into without hitting your head on...
