I was here ten years ago on July 4th to camp. The water levels were much higher and the water was cleaner. Lots of row boats and people fishing at the shore line. The environment and global warming has not been kind to this lake. It has receded allot were the water is full of blue and green algae and the shore line is a muddy mess. I am not sure I would eat a fish caught here unless I brought a water testing kit! This review is not based on the care and upkeep of this facility. The grounds and bathrooms are clean. I do highly recommend Cathedral Gorge which is on the way if you are coming from Vegas (see picture)

We have been to Eagle Valley Reservoir a couple times. This visit was in May 2021. They have removed the dock were people would pull up to and load passengers onto their boats. We did not fish but we heard from several that they caught a lot of trout this weekend. The last time we took our dog he ended up with stickers in his paws, so we did not bring him by the water this time. The main shore was fairly crowded on Saturday. There is a group campground right next to the reservoir. The wash rooms are kept clean and there is a fish cleaning station.

A beautiful and wonderfully peaceful place in October. The drive out is easy, although secluded. No cell service at the lake. The lake is very low and the park ranger told us that the dock is now closed because they are going to fix it or replace it. We only fished for less than two hours and caught two good-sized rainbow trouts.

Great place if you don't mind numerous small trout. Gets annoying after awhile. Most swallow the hook and you are stuck keeping it. Only time I ever hear of a of a nice fish is the yearly tournament. (Makes me wonder who is cheating when you hear someone got a 24" or 26" fish. Bringing one in from Sunnyside. Especially the lax on anyone out on the lake observing at that time) Been fishing there since the early 80's when the fish were more in the 14-18 inch range instead of the 7-10 inch range of today. Loads of grass along the shoreline make it difficult if not impossible to shore fish nowadays. They use to come and rake it out back in the day Lake now has crappie and bass, guess that's a plus. Lake sucks these days unless.... You are bringing the kids to fish. They will love the heck out of it. Lots of fish for them to catch. Campground is clean with running water, restrooms and showers. Fish cleaning station on site. Resort (bar) and store just up the road. Family destination for sure but for the serious...
