Crystal Ballroom — Attraction in New Britain

Have been there for parties, a wedding, and I am planning my own wedding there. The banquet hall is beautiful and the food is delicious. In terms of planning my wedding, Monika has been so helpful and easy to contact with any questions I have. She has also helped me out by providing suggestions for different vendors in the area. However, some of the things I spoke with Monika about didn’t get passed on to her mother Alina, so there were a couple things that didn’t happen perfectly on our wedding day and the photo booth was not set up in the place I wanted it to be. Also, when I was picking my food for my wedding, Alina was a little judgmental about some of my food choices and pushed me to pick other things. That being said, she did work with me to combine two appetizer options to make something that everyone would like. Also, when we went to set up the decorations and chairs for our wedding there was no one in site to help us out. I understand they were prepping for a party in the smaller room, but direction would have been appreciated. We are full-time wedding photographers, and we had the pleasure of photographing a wedding reception at the Crystal Ballroom with one of our all-time favorite couples. We’d had a tremendous albeit long and hot summer day, and we were grateful to have such an intimate, wonderful, and exciting space to enjoy the night of food, drinks, laughing, dancing, and love. The sweetheart table was able to be so well positioned with ample space for the dance floor. The staff was continually helpful, attentive, and caring. We thought that technically the space was very conducive for both flash and using ambient light. All of the guests seemed to have a sensational time! We hope to be back in the future to photograph more memorable weddings.
