Went here kayaking. The water is super clear which is awesome because I like to just lazy my way around lakes to enjoy nature. There are a lot of houses around this lake, not 100% coverage but enough to make it more of a people lake and not a nature lake. There were lots of boats on the lake, both motor and paddle. There is a small island that has the remnants of a house on it which was interesting to see. Did not see much wildlife. Im not sure if I would go back to this lake, but if I do, I will revisit...

Some of my fondest teenage memories come from this lake. Lived with a girl in New Hartford and we used to spend Sundays floating around in a small boat that we would rent from a place over on West Hill Rd. It was blue raised ranch style house and they rented row boats with trolling motors out of their backyard for years. They sold bait also. I wonder if they are still there? We would spend entire days out there fishing, laying in the sun, or finding a private place in the woods on a quiet shore ;) Such...

Go Away People, It's really awful and terrible and nasty here, and you should absolutely go somewhere else. The boat launch is overcrowded already. The beach is full. The water wants to refresh you, but you should just say : NO There are rocks and sand and fish in the water. Go to Candlewood or something. Try Highland Lake, or better yet, the ocean. I'm trying to raise my cubs...
