Hatten Park — Attraction in New London

Decently large park. Much open area for large groups and shaded areas with many pine and hardwoods. Has a pavilion with restrooms, playground, athletic fields (soccer and ball diamond). Has disc golf course and exceptional walking trail although not too many and a historic stadium where high school games were played at.

Only big complaint about it is that being New London it's low-land which means it is prone to floods easily and a harbor for many insects.

Late morning thru mid afternoon is best bug wise, traffic isn't too bad unless going out or entering during school year. Parking is simple, but limited. It's kept up well by...

We were involved in a vendor/craft show call New London Fall Fest held on Werner Allen in New London WI in front of Hatten Park. The next day we also entered the park for the Shine Bright Against Cancer walk in the park. It is a beautiful park with plenty of parking, shelters, disk golf, tennis courts and baseball diamond. Great place to enjoy the outdoors. Good shelters and updates to bathrooms. Could the path become repaved for stroller friendly?… and possibly connect to the riverwalk heading towards Johnny’s Bait Shop and beyond to other parts of beautiful New London, making it a beautiful, stroller friendly, well lit path for families...
