The original, wooden bridge was burned during the 1970's. However this wooden bridge is an exact replica of the original and does contain some original pieces. There is a nice little picnic and parking area directly before the bridge. The bridge crosses the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. This is a neat place to visit. Cars and trucks can drive through the one lane bridge but heavy vehicles are not permitted. I do not recommend trying to ride motorcycles through the bridge.
