Honestly I love this place. But the experience I had yesterday was NOT it. Stopped by because I heard strawberry milk was back in stock. I grabbed one but noticed it looked considerably different than usual. When I asked the woman at the register if the milk had changed she asked “since when?” (Lmao… you know when I’m talking about.) so I said idk.. within the last year? To which she told me lots of people were requesting a more natural version with no dye and stuff. I asked her if the milk was always CHUNKY and she said YES it has always been like that.
Sorry, but no. I have been drinking that milk for YEARS, and as a person with texture aversions, I would have never drank that milk knowing it was chunky. I gave the bottle to my sister in law who also said it did not used to be chunky, and that it’s still good but it’s weird and would be better strained.
So why did the lady at the register need to get defensive and LIE to my face?!?! Like I just got gaslit over strawberry freaking milk.
I’ll probably just go with arethusa in the future because I never get an attitude when...
Read moreI love Route 109 and it's a beautiful scenic drive to get to the farm and ice cream stand. I was so looking forward to trying their ice cream and today was the day we made the trip from Newtown. Atmosphere is lovely! It's open, airy and there's many benches available for seating. I had a soft serve twist because they were sold out of four of the flavors I had chosen so I just settled on that and we ordered two twists with sprinkles and then my friend had a hard ice cream, Cookie Dough, alas couldn't get the flavor she wanted because it was sold out. That's kind of a big disappointment. The real disappointment was the ice cream my soft serve was gritty and it tasted like milk powder... like the type that you pour into the machine that McD's sells. My friend did not care for the flavor of the cookie dough she said it was all chocolate chip and very little dough. The truth of the matter is they went...
Read moreI've Lived in New Milford 30 years plus and shamefully never stopped in here. What a welcome surprise! Out taking photos and saw the cows (love cows) then saw the colorful front porch. Very inviting and incredibly kind people that live and work there. The bakery items were ridiculously good! The woman in the back was baking fresh snicker doodle cookies, I lucked out!! As I walked around, I came across eight or more (I think) freezer chests full of pints of their homemade ice cream! I resisted, but upon arriving home I told my 88-year-old Mother about my experience there, then she insisted we take a drive back. The ice cream was...
