Schoenbrunn Village is a unique and affordable historical stop at just $8 per person, with a 10% military discount. It starts with a well-done 10-minute video and a small but informative museum and gift shop. Walking through the recreated village is fascinating, especially the original graveyard. Some of the old headstones are hard to read, so small plaques would be helpful, but the main sign and map offer good guidance. While we hoped to see people in period clothing demonstrating old-time activities, it was still a very educational and interesting experience. Read moreI was blown away with how interactive Schoenbrunn Village was. We made it in late October and although it was quiet, there was so much to explore. Nearly all the cabins were open to entering and looking around a as was the school and the church building (which, according to the walking tour guide, is still an active church in the Moravian Church). After walking through the village, we went back into the visitor center and looked through the museum with some incredible artifacts from the village that predate the American Revolution, including two Bibles dated from 1765. The staff there was incredibly nice and the gift shop was well stocked for being so late in the season. Pro tip: if you have an Ohio History Connection Membership,...
