Schoenbrunn Village is a unique and affordable historical stop at just $8 per person, with a 10% military discount. It starts with a well-done 10-minute video and a small but informative museum and gift shop. Walking through the recreated village is fascinating, especially the original graveyard. Some of the old headstones are hard to read, so small plaques would be helpful, but the main sign and map offer good guidance. While we hoped to see people in period clothing demonstrating old-time activities, it was still a very educational and interesting experience. The walk is mostly through a mowed field, so be prepared for a bit of walking, especially if mobility is a concern. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the site has clean restrooms and a nice picnic area. Definitely a worthwhile stop for anyone interested in early...

I Was Surprised to Get a Free Pass To Enjoy My Visit Walkabout Through This Great Historic Schoenbrunn Village. The Young Lady Behind The Counter Was Very Helpful an Asked if I Was in The Military an That Was My Free Pass in. She Was Very Knowledgeable About The Village an Told Me About The Cemetery She Also Suggested That There Was a Movie To Watch an The Small Museum to Go Through. The Buildings Were Very Interesting an I Wish There Were People In Each Building Showin or Explanin What Each Building Was Used for But I Understand Because of The Virus. I Was in The Museum an Listenin to The Lady Explain to Other People of A Lot of Things About The Village an Learned Quite a Bit. I Was Wonderin Where The Out Houses Were ? Thank You for The Free Pass an The Knowledge of This...

I was blown away with how interactive Schoenbrunn Village was. We made it in late October and although it was quiet, there was so much to explore. Nearly all the cabins were open to entering and looking around a as was the school and the church building (which, according to the walking tour guide, is still an active church in the Moravian Church). After walking through the village, we went back into the visitor center and looked through the museum with some incredible artifacts from the village that predate the American Revolution, including two Bibles dated from 1765. The staff there was incredibly nice and the gift shop was well stocked for being so late in the season. Pro tip: if you have an Ohio History Connection Membership,...

This place is an amazing find! I was not lucky enough to go here when I was in elementary school, like so many others, but I am happy that I found it as an adult. It is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. There are replication cabins where the village once stood, you meander through the town and visit each cabin. There is so much to see and do! The staff is really what makes this place amazing. Diedra and "Intern James" were very knowledgeable, but beyond just regurgitating information back to me when I asked questions, they elaborated and passionately told the story of this place to me. Diedra obviously loves her job, and it shows. I could have stayed there all day. I definitely would stop if you are ever passing through town.
