My family and I drove onto the beach with our all wheel drive ford escape. The beach was nicely compact and we had no issues. It seemed like we were driving on concrete. We entered the beach at Beachway Ave and paid the $20 entrance fee then drove north most of the way to the jetty at the Recomendation of the sheriff directing traffic. My only complaint was that the closest bathroom was .4 miles away from the beach (see the photo). The walk was nice and only took 10 min each way but take this into account when selecting a parking spot.

The place is awesome, but still recovering from hurricane milton. The shore line during high tide makes it impossible to be parked o the beach at high tide. So plan your visits accordingly by going during the low tide to make the most out of your visit. 11/10/2024.

The beach was wonderful, the gate staff was rude, wrong and annoying. The old woman at the booth tried to make me pay because of the new parking fees, but I still have a valid pass until Oct 2025 so I don't have to pay yet.

Number 1 place for shark bites NOT attacks. Don’t let that scare you from NSB. The bites are recorded even if it’s a small cut. Negative attention is better than none. Somehow once NSB came on the map as Worlds Number One for shark bites more people visited. City has grown exponentially. I live beachside and haven’t heard of anyone getting bit by a shark. It’s over rated. NSB is a quaint costal town, a small town feeling with everything you can think of to do on a daily basis under...
